Overview
A PhD in Endodontics is a high academic degree in the field of root canal treatment. The program generally includes advanced academic study in the specialty, intensive four-year clinical training, and a scientific dissertation. The program focuses on comprehensive learning of the specialty, high clinical standards, and innovative medical research. It aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to meet the needs of the community and the job market. - The first year of the PhD in Endodontics and Dental Pulp Sciences program aims to restore and enhance knowledge acquired from various integrated fields of basic medical and dental sciences.
- The importance of basic concepts in biostatistics, root canal treatment, and dental research is also highlighted.
- Knowledge gained about occlusion is also enhanced, including the differentiation between normal and abnormal occlusion and methods for correcting occlusion.
- Students are also provided with deep knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of pediatric dentistry, including principles of diagnosis, treatment planning, and how to guide child behavior and manage pain.
- In the second year, students are exposed to more clinical work.
