Qassim University provides distinguished opportunities for students wishing to pursue postgraduate studies through a wide range of master's and doctoral programs, designed to meet the evolving needs of the labor market and achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. These programs also contribute to strengthening national priorities in research, development, and innovation, leading to international leadership.
These programs are supervised by national and international cadres with extensive academic and practical experience, who are keen to transfer their knowledge to students by engaging them in advanced research projects and applied training, which contributes to raising their efficiency and enhancing their innovative skills.

Applying for postgraduate studies
Applications for postgraduate programs at Qassim University are submitted electronically through the Admission and Registration portal during the period announced in the timeline. The programs are distributed across the university's colleges at the Master's and Doctorate levels, with unified general conditions and specific conditions set by each academic department.

General Admission Requirements
Admission to postgraduate studies (Master's and PhD) is generally subject to the following:
- The applicant must have, during or before the application period, a result in the General Abilities Test for Undergraduates, held by the National Center for Measurement and Evaluation.
- A passing score for programs that require the STEP English language test
- The applicant must be a Saudi national or a non-Saudi resident within the Kingdom. For non-Saudis outside the Kingdom, applications should be submitted via Study in Saudi Arabia Platform
- The applicant must have a university degree from a Saudi university or from another recognized university.
- A declaration of graduation may be accepted - for doctoral program applicants - provided that the master's thesis defense is successfully passed, the master's thesis course grade is recorded in the academic transcript (graduate), and only the graduation certificate remains to be issued.
- The cumulative GPA of the student expected to graduate at the bachelor's level from Qassim University or from outside it must be at least (4.50) for theoretical majors, and (4.25) for applied majors.
- The application fee is SAR 100 (one hundred Saudi Riyals) (non-refundable).

- Bachelor's degree graduation document for applicants for master's programs.
- Master's graduation document for male and female applicants for doctoral programs.

Tuition fees
Tuition fees are as follows:
- The tuition fee for one supplementary semester is SAR 5,000
- Tuition fees for the master's degree start from 40,000 SAR, and to know more fee details for each program click on the name of the program.
- Fees for doctoral studies start from 60,000 SAR, and to know more fee details for each program click on the name of the program.
- Tuition fees if it exceeds the statutory period of study at the master's level by 5,000 riyals per semester.
- Tuition fees if it exceeds the statutory period of study at the doctoral level by 5,000 riyals per semester.
- Tuition fees if the statutory period of study in the doctoral stage (for DDS programs) exceeds 20,000 riyals per semester.
Accepting Non-Saudis
Non-Saudis are accepted in external and internal scholarship tracks according to the following conditions and procedures.
External scholarships (non-Saudis from outside the Kingdom)
Applications are submitted via Study Gate Saudi Arabia It includes:
- GCC nationals.
- Or from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and do not have valid residency in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Or present in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with valid residency and under the sponsorship of Qassim University or under the sponsorship of one of the universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Internal scholarships (non-Saudis from within the Kingdom)
- Applicants for internal scholarships must have valid residency, and not be sponsored by a university in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Applicants for internal scholarships must have a university degree (have a graduation document and not a graduation statement) from a recognized university, and all documents must be certified by the Saudi Embassy (Cultural Attaché) in his country or the country where he obtained the university degree.
- He must meet the admission requirements of the majors (the program he wants to join) in terms of GPA and previous major.
- Applicants for master's programs should not be more than 30 years old and for doctoral programs should not be more than 35 years old for non-Saudis.
- The applicant's residency must be valid for one year from the date of application.
- The applicant must have achieved the required English language score for the program to which he/she wishes to apply at the time of application.
- He must be a legal resident of the Kingdom (if he has a work permit, he must bring his employer's approval stamped by the Chamber of Commerce when matching documents after being nominated for preliminary admission).
- Admission to health majors is not offered.
- The candidacy will be canceled if the applicant has an acceptance in another university (for non-Saudis).
- The names of candidates for preliminary admission (internal scholarships) are submitted to the Ministry of Education, and the final admission is after the Ministry's approval.
- Tuition fees are payable after final approval from the Ministry of Education for internal (non-Saudi) scholarship candidates.
- The application cannot be modified or canceled after the nomination has been uploaded to the Ministry's website.
General provisions
- Passing the supplementary courses determined by the department on the first attempt with a grade of no less than "High Good," and the cumulative GPA in the supplementary courses must not be less than "Very Good," and the period for studying supplementary courses must not exceed one academic year for non-specialists.
- Enrollment in the graduate program is only possible after passing the supplementary courses
- The time period for passing the supplementary courses does not count towards the regular duration of the degree.
- Supplementary courses are not included in the calculation of the GPA for the postgraduate stage.
- The lecture periods for supplementary courses are determined by the departments in the colleges according to the nature of the program (morning or evening).
- Graduate studies programs (Master's and PhD) lectures will be held regularly in the evening (except for the College of Dentistry programs, which are held in the morning, and some College of Education programs, which are held in the morning and evening, details available in each program's admission information).
- Review all regulations, bylaws, and guides on the website of the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research at Qassim University.
- For programs that require English for admission, you must pass the STEP test, which is offered by the National Center for Measurement and Evaluation.
- In the event that the applicant is absent from the competitive examination for programs requiring an exam, they will be disqualified from admission.
- The duration of the master's degree is a minimum of two years.
- The duration of the doctoral degree is a minimum of three years.
- Tuition fees will be refunded if the program cannot be implemented due to an insufficient number of participants to launch it, even after the student has received their university ID number.
- The study pattern for students admitted to postgraduate studies (courses and thesis, courses and research project) is determined by the department in the college.
- If there are program tracks, the track will be assigned to the student by the department after passing the common levels and a competitive selection process.
