Advanced Endodontics 1

Course Description: This course aims to provide students with in-depth knowledge and understanding of the structure and function of dentin, pulp, and supporting dental tissues in both normal and pathological conditions. Through this in-depth knowledge and understanding, students will be able to diagnose pathological conditions affecting the pulp, dentin, and supporting dental tissues, differentiate between them, and describe how to manage them.

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

 

Understanding of various aspects of advanced endodontic topics, describing, interpreting, and explaining them.

And develop treatment plans for managing dental pulp and periapical diseases using non-surgical and surgical treatment methods

Course outputs :

The student will be able to describe the facts, theories, and principles related to the structure and function of dentin, pulp, and their supporting tissues, as well as the facts, theories, and principles related to the diseases and functions of the pulp and periapical tissues.
The student will be able to recognize the microbiological aspects of dental pulp infections and the therapeutic aspects related to the treatment of pulp diseases, periapical diseases, and orofacial pain.
The student will be able to describe the facts, theories, and principles related to the diagnosis of diseases of the dental pulp and periapical tissues, their differential diagnosis, and management, using non-surgical and surgical treatment methods.
The student will be able to interpret and integrate clinical findings, diagnostic tests, and reports to arrive at a differential diagnosis and formulate treatment plans for the management of pulpal and periradicular diseases using non-surgical and surgical treatment modalities.
