Description:

The Master of Fundamentals of Jurisprudence program was established in 1429/2008 AD, and it is considered one of the graduate studies programs at the Department of Fundamentals of Jurisprudence at the College of Sharia. The program accepts male and female students in accordance with the regulations governing graduate studies and their executive rules at Qassim University in addition to the decisions issued by the University Council in this regard. The Master of Fundamentals of Jurisprudence program contributes to the achievement of knowledge growth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by developing knowledge and raising the efficiency of graduates at the local and regional level and connecting them with the labor market requirements in Saudi society in line with its habits and traditions, and the Master's program has obtained accreditation

Program learning outcomes :

Knowledge and understanding:
P1 The student should know the fundamentalist approaches, the rules of reasoning and its methods accurately, and the areas of fundamentalist disagreement and its impact clearly.
P2 Identify the fundamentalist, maqasid, and jurisprudential theories and the difference between them accurately.
P3 Explain in depth and in detail the methods of adapting contemporary jurisprudential issues and how to apply them to fundamentalist rules.
Skills:
1. To be able to distinguish between correct reasoning and deviations from it accurately and skillfully.
M2 To practice the use of multiple fundamentalist skills: Fundamental and jurisprudential analysis, reasoning, criticism and balancing.
M3 The student should employ fundamental rules in understanding the evidence and applying them to contemporary issues.
M4 The student must master the skill of fundamentalist research, editing issues and scientific documentation from fundamentalist books and electronic sources.

The student must possess the ethics of scientific research, and the etiquette of disagreement and debate.

Program mission:

Providing advanced cognitive and skill-based education to prepare qualified researchers in the principles of jurisprudence, its rules, and the objectives of Sharia, who are capable of developing research that addresses scientific and societal issues. It also qualifies them to fill legal, judicial, academic, and advisory service positions through the use of the latest diverse educational technology methods. The program has obtained full national academic accreditation until the end of August 2026 AD.
