Overview
Praise be to God, who is the best and most gracious to all, and peace and blessings be upon the most honorable prophets and messengers, our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has witnessed, thanks to God and then through the efforts of its wise leadership, a vast renaissance in the field of education, including legal education, which has received honorable care and continuous support from the leaders of this blessed country. In line with this support and interest, departments were established to teach the Saudi regulations issued in line with the process of renaissance and development, in a number of colleges of Shari`ah in the Kingdom, and the Department of Regulations at Qassim University was among the first departments whose establishment was approved at the beginning of the academic year 1430 AH. Since its establishment, the department has sought to consolidate its position as a leading department within the Kingdom, blending its study plan with many courses that keep pace with the present and its developments, and preserve the originality by taking care of the Kingdom's specificity, derived from its system of government based on the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace be upon him). A Master of Laws program was also introduced at the beginning of the academic year (34/1435H), and the department is actively seeking approval to establish a doctoral program in regulations, and to obtain academic accreditation for its programs from the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment. The department has been distinguished by the quality of its outputs, graduating generations after generations armed with legal knowledge and skills to serve their religion and their country. The number of the department's bachelor's graduates reached nearly two thousand students, and the number of applicants for the master's program reached one hundred and seventy-eight students, of whom nearly forty graduated, and the department is still developing its programs in line with the needs of the labor market and achieving the Saudi Vision 2030. In addition to this, the department is proud to host the Secretariat of Systems Departments at the level of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to the department's efforts in serving the community by holding many partnerships with relevant authorities to organize courses and seminars that contribute to spreading legal culture within the community. The department is also proud to host a group of legal professors and researchers whose scientific contributions have enriched Arab and international libraries with many valuable legal works. Finally, the department is keen to benefit from the scientific movement at the internal and international levels by seeking to organize scientific conferences and seminars and establish specialized research centers that contribute to achieving the vision of the college and the university and keep pace with the developments in the Kingdom, including the maximization of the role of law in achieving development, security and stability.
