Fundamentalist Research Methodology

Course Description: In this course, students will learn the scientific methodologies for writing academic theses in Usul (Islamic jurisprudence principles), the steps required for writing them, broaden their understanding in selecting topics and identifying their sources, and the scientific methodology for researching them, as well as how to apply general and specific procedures. .

Objectives of the course :

Developing the student's research capabilities in the specialized aspect of all foundational studies, and the practical application of researching foundational issues in all their branches with practical practice of foundational research, and building the critical and analytical spirit of the researcher in foundational studies.

Course outputs :

Knowledge and understanding:
1- Accurately and deeply defines the vocabulary of Usul al-Fiqh, its characteristics, and how to formulate issues.
2- Explains knowledge and accurate understanding of Usul research and the research methodology in the books of advanced and contemporary Usul scholars, based on modern developments.
Describes knowledge related to how to write a scientific research paper in its various stages, starting from formulating the problem and ending with the most authoritative opinion on it. And applying general and specific procedures in his research, which contribute to the development of the fields of Usul al-Fiqh.
Skills:
Applies methods and means of selecting a research topic in the field of specialization in light of the scientific research methodology, and in advanced contexts in Usul al-Fiqh, to disseminate knowledge, skills, and results of Usul research and innovations through various communication methods with specialists.
2- Evaluates key research concepts, principles, and theories by reviewing them and presenting creative solutions to fundamental research issues and problems in complex contexts, using advanced techniques.
3. Conducts advanced research or a professional project in performing complex, innovative, and fundamental research tasks and projects, using digital technology tools and applications in processing and analyzing quantitative data.
