Qassim University (QU) provides comprehensive institutional protection for all employees, replacing unofficial unions with a structured legal and ethical framework. This system begins with mandatory adherence to the Civil Service System and the Charter of Rights and Ethics. The Employee Handbook also defines formal internal complaint procedures, ensuring fair treatment and clear complaint mechanisms. If an issue cannot be resolved internally, a friendly settlement phase must first be undertaken, aiming for early resolution and internal mediation. If this settlement is unsuccessful, employees have the right to resort to the Administrative Grievance Board or independent labor courts. For foreign employees and women, the system ensures special protection, including mandatory written employment contracts and protection against arbitrary dismissal by clearly defining reasons for termination. The regulations also obligate Qassim University to bear the accommodation and visa costs for non-Saudi employees, in addition to providing health insurance. This entire system is based on the principle of equality and non-discrimination among all employees.
