Cross sectoral dialogue about SDGs
Qassim University actively initiates and participates in cross-sectoral dialogue about the SDGs, viewing it as a core component of SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). This dialogue primarily occurs through the Center for Sustainable Development (SDC), which organizes and implements scientific and professional events like conferences, workshops, and forums. These events deliberately bring together diverse stakeholders including academics, regional government officials, NGOs, and industry partners to exchange knowledge and experiences. The university ensures that this cross-sectoral engagement directly serves the local development needs of the Qassim region, particularly by coordinating efforts related to environmental consulting and directing scientific research. By facilitating this continuous conversation, Qassim University works to integrate the SDGs into various sectors, identify practical solutions to complex challenges, and ultimately help translate national strategies into local action.
MoC with General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT)
The collaboration between the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) and Qassim University marks a significant institutional step toward enhancing national data capabilities. The memorandum specifically focuses on sharing statistical information and indicators crucial for measuring the Kingdom's progress toward global sustainability targets, including the SDGs.
