On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Fahad Al-Sharekh, sponsored the fourth research forum of the College of Nursing under the slogan "Sustainability in Nursing: Promoting Creativity and Progress", with the participation of 12 male and female speakers and 26 research posters, in the presence of the university vice presidents at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center in the University City.
The forum aims to promote the sustainability of excellence and innovation in the nursing profession by supporting scientific research, employing modern technologies, and developing nursing leaders, which contributes to improving the quality of health care and achieving the best professional practices.
For her part, Dr. Ashwaq Al-Sharida, Dean of the College of Nursing, stressed that this scientific forum comes at a time when the need for the sustainability of the nursing profession is growing, not only in its professional practices but also in its research thinking, future leaders, and its ability to keep pace with the rapid health transformations, noting that scientific research in nursing is no longer a supportive option, but has become an essential pillar for improving the quality of health care, making evidence-based decisions, and promoting innovation in clinical and educational practices.
She added: The scientific committee of the forum had received 70 scientific research papers, which were judged according to strict scientific criteria, and 12 of them were selected for participation, reflecting the quality of the scientific content and the richness of the forum's themes and its keenness to support research and innovation in the field of nursing.
During his patronage of the forum, the university president honored the speakers and participants.
