The university organizes the fourth research forum entitled "Sustainability in Nursing: Promoting Innovation and Progress"

His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharikh, sponsored today, Wednesday, January 21, 2026, the activities of the Fourth Research Forum for the College of Nursing, under the theme «Sustainability in Nursing: Fostering Innovation and Advancement,» with the participation of 12 male and female speakers and 26 research posters, in the presence of the University Vice Presidents at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center in the University City.

The university president opened the accompanying exhibition, which included several booths with the participation of a number of government and private entities. The forum aims to promote the sustainability of excellence and innovation in the nursing profession by supporting scientific research, employing modern technologies, and developing nursing leadership, which contributes to improving the quality of healthcare and achieving best professional practices.

For her part, the Dean of the College of Nursing, Dr. Ashwaq Al-Shareeda, affirmed that this scientific forum comes at a time when the need for the sustainability of the nursing profession is growing, not only in its professional practices but also in its research thinking, its future leaders, and its ability to keep pace with rapid health transformations. She pointed out that scientific research in nursing is no longer a supportive option, but has become a fundamental pillar for improving the quality of healthcare, evidence-based decision-making, and promoting innovation in clinical and educational practices.

She added: "The scientific committee for the forum had received 70 scientific research papers, which were reviewed according to precise scientific standards, and 12 of them were selected for participation, reflecting the quality of the scientific content, the richness of the forum's themes, and its keenness to support research and innovation in the field of nursing.".

The university president honored the speakers and participating entities during his sponsorship of the forum.
