UQU President Witnesses the Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the College of Business and Economics and Taqraa Business Services

His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharaikh, witnessed on Sunday, November 17, 2024, the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the University, represented by the College of Business and Economics, and Eqrar Business Services Company. The signing was attended by His Excellency the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fahad bin Sulaiman Al-Ahmad, His Excellency the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Waleed bin Saleh Al-Battah, and the Supervisor of Knowledge Exchange and Scientific Events Management, Dr. Mishari bin Saleh Al-Enezi, at the main campus.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by His Excellency the Dean of the College of Business and Economics, Dr. Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Fahad, and His Excellency the CEO of Iqrar Business Services Company, Mr. Saeed bin Saad Al-Shahrani; with the aim of supporting and developing the skills and knowledge of accounting students through the Distinguished Accountants Program.

The memorandum also aims to strengthen cooperation in the field of qualifying accountants for the labor market, and to help students acquire skills in preparing financial statements, the ability to read them and make decisions based on them, in addition to sufficient knowledge of the most important tax and zakat treatments, and the ability to prepare statements in accordance with the regulations in force in the Kingdom.

The areas of cooperation in the memorandum of understanding include introducing students to the most important professional certificates that qualify them more for the job market, equipping them with effective communication skills in institutions, and the ability to present their resumes clearly and professionally.
