Emir of Qassim witnesses the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the university, the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) and the National Academy for Industry

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, witnessed on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Al-Qassim University, the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), and the National Industry Academy. This took place as His Highness sponsored the Youth Industry Forum in Al-Qassim, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, at the King Khalid Cultural Center in Buraidah, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef.

The memorandum was signed by His Excellency the Vice President for Business Development and Community Partnership, Dr. Majed bin Fadhi Al-Anzi, His Excellency the Executive Director of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones, Eng. Majed bin Rafed Al-Arqoubi, and His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources for Human Capacity Development, Eng. Fares bin Saleh Al-Saqabi.

This memorandum aims to build ties of cooperation between the signatory parties, based on their commitment to developing human capabilities in the industrial sector, supporting the growth of local communities and contributing to their development, and working together to enhance areas of joint cooperation to benefit from each party's capabilities, in a way that achieves the objectives of the Human Capabilities Development Program and the National Industrial Strategy aimed at achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The memorandum's clauses stipulate cooperation between its parties in several areas, including: cooperation in preparing, designing, and implementing advanced training programs in the industrial and mining sectors, as well as qualifying national cadres and raising their readiness for the labor market. This also includes cooperative training and field visits for students, and consultations and cooperation in the areas of human capacity development.
