Tomorrow, Wednesday, April 30, 2025, Qassim University, in partnership with the King Salman International Center for the Arabic Language, will hold the Arabic Language and Strengthening Saudi National Identity Conference under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, and the exhibition accompanying the conference will continue throughout Wednesday and Thursday, with the participation of a number of entities, at the Conference Center in the University City.
The conference aims to highlight the role of the Arabic language in strengthening the Saudi national identity, discuss the challenges facing the Arabic language in the Kingdom, review international experiences in promoting national languages, and put forward initiatives and projects that promote the Arabic language and its roles in development and identity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The conference will include several scientific sessions that will discuss a number of topics, including the role of governmental and non-governmental organizations in promoting linguistic identity, language policies and their impact on national identity, linguistic security and threats to the empowerment of the Arabic language, in addition to reviewing linguistic experiences in promoting national identity.
The exhibition accompanying the conference includes several corners to highlight efforts and initiatives in the field of promoting the Arabic language and linking it to identity, with the participation of a number of organizations.
