Qassim University, represented by the Center for Sustainable Development, participated in a number of environmental volunteer opportunities to contribute to the environmental and tourism development of “Shu'ayb Al-Turfiyah,” as part of the university's ongoing efforts to support national initiatives aimed at protecting the environment and promoting sustainability.
This initiative aimed to raise environmental awareness, instill a culture of volunteerism, and promote social responsibility among university students, contributing to the preparation of a generation that is aware of environmental issues and capable of actively participating in their resolution.
Fifty male and female university student volunteers participated in this initiative, contributing a total of 250 volunteer hours. The initiative involved carrying out a number of field activities, most notably cleaning natural sites, preserving vegetation cover, and contributing to improving the environmental landscape of the location.
This initiative comes as an extension of the university's role in serving the community and strengthening partnerships with relevant entities, in order to achieve sustainability goals and consolidate the university's position as a leading educational institution in community and developmental work.
