Qassim University, represented by the Center for Sustainable Development, participated in a number of environmental volunteer opportunities to contribute to the ecological and touristic development of “Shuaib Al-Tarfiyah.” This is part of the university's ongoing efforts to support national initiatives aimed at environmental protection and sustainability.
This initiative aimed to raise environmental awareness, instill a culture of volunteerism, and enhance social responsibility among university students, contributing to the development of a generation conscious of environmental issues and capable of actively contributing to their resolution.
Fifty male and female university student volunteers participated in this initiative, contributing a total of 250 volunteer hours. Their efforts included carrying out various field activities, most notably cleaning natural sites, preserving vegetation, and contributing to the improvement of the site's environmental landscape.
This initiative comes as an extension of the university's role in serving the community and strengthening partnerships with relevant entities, in order to achieve sustainability goals and solidify the university's position as a leading educational institution in community and development work.
