Master of Geographic and Environmental Technologies

Overview

The Department of Geography was established in 1402 AH as part of the College of Arabic and Social Sciences. In 1424 AH, it became affiliated with the College of Arabic Language and Social Studies following the royal decree No. 7/b/2242 dated 10/5/1424 AH, which merged the branches of Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University and King Saud University in Qassim under a single university, Qassim University. The college and department are currently under the College of Languages and Humanities. The Department of Geography at the College of Languages and Humanities has developed a new Bachelor of Science in Geography program. This program is aligned with local and international standards, as well as the standards of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, which ensures the quality of university programs and administration in line with global standards. Its methodology is consistent with the comprehensive development goals of the Kingdom and aims to enhance the quality of the disciplines covered by the programs, contributing to the fulfillment of development and labor market requirements in accordance with the Saudi Standard Classification of Occupations.
