Current collaborations with health organizations
Qassim University, through its Medical City, health colleges and research chairs, maintains on-going collaborations with local and national health institutions – including Al-Qassim Health Cluster (Ministry of Health), the Saudi Health Council, the Armed Forces Hospital in Qassim, Najran University Hospital and health associations in the region – to integrate health services, share staff and expertise, and improve health and well-being outcomes in the community.
Official visit to strengthen health integration between Al-Qassim University Medical City and Al-Qassim Health Cluster
A delegation from the Qassim Health Cluster visited the Medical City at Qassim University to discuss enhancing cooperation and integrating services. They met with the University Vice President, who emphasized the importance of developing local competencies.
The CEO of the Medical City at Qassim University, Dr. Khalid Fahd Al-Hussais, received the CEO of the Qassim Health Cluster, Dr. Musa Al-Harbi, accompanied by a number of department directors, in an official visit within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed between them, which aims to enhance the integration of health services in the region.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the directors of the relevant departments at the Medical City, where avenues for strengthening joint cooperation and exchanging experiences were discussed. This was followed by a tour of a selection of key facilities in the Medical City and the University City. At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation met with His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Abdulrahman Al-Saoui, the University Vice President for Financial and Technical Affairs. He welcomed the delegation and praised the integration and harmony among the various entities in the health sector, stating that this cooperation reflects the joint efforts to serve beneficiaries and elevate the provided services. He also emphasized the university’s interest in the educational outputs in health specializations to support this rapid growth, noting that the development of local competencies is a fundamental factor in achieving health sustainability.

The medical city of Qassim University signed a cooperation agreement in medical services with the Qassim Health Services Association (Saha), under the patronage and presence of His Excellency the Vice President of the University for Financial and Technical Affairs.
Under the patronage of His Excellency the Vice President of Qassim University for Financial and Technical Affairs, the Medical City at Qassim University signed a cooperation agreement with the Health Services Association in Qassim “Saha”. The agreement aims to strengthen the integration between health, academic, and charitable entities, and to enhance the level of healthcare provided to the local community. This agreement aims to support joint efforts in providing distinguished medical services that contribute to improving the quality of life, by making optimal use of the resources and capabilities available to both parties, whether in terms of facilities, equipment, human resources, or technology, in order to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
The agreement seeks to establish a culture of community partnership and cooperation between different sectors, and to activate the role of non-profit organizations in supporting the health system, in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its programs, chief among them the National Transformation Program. It also aims to unify efforts in providing health services and awareness initiatives to needy groups, through qualitative programs that focus on public health and prevention.

The Medical City of Qassim University and the “Heart” Association have signed a cooperation agreement to enhance healthcare in the region and integrate efforts between governmental and non-profit entities, in support of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, with a commitment to developing cooperation to serve the community.
Under the patronage and attendance of His Excellency the Vice President of the University for Financial and Technical Affairs, a joint cooperation agreement was signed between Al-Qassim University Medical City, represented by its Executive General Manager Dr. Khalid Fahd Al-Hussais, and the “Qalb” Association for the Care of Heart Patients in Unaizah, represented by its Executive CEO Mr. Mohammed Salem Rashed Al-Ghasham.
The agreement aims to enhance the level of healthcare in the region and emphasize the importance of integration between governmental and non-profit entities to serve needy patients and the local community, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. Under the patronage and attendance of His Excellency the Vice President of Qassim University for Financial and Technical Affairs, the Medical City of Qassim University signed a joint cooperation agreement with the Oasis of Loyalty Association for the Support of the Elderly in the Governorate of Unaizah, within the framework of strengthening community partnerships and expanding the scope of healthcare services for the community.
This agreement aims to contribute to raising the level of healthcare for patients and the elderly, and to affirm the vital role played by governmental, private, and non-profit institutions in serving the community and elevating it to the highest levels of awareness and well-being. The agreement also seeks to unify efforts and visions between the two parties to provide the best health services and support to those in need, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its programs, including the National Transformation Program.
The agreement includes leveraging human and technical expertise from both parties, and enhancing the optimal utilization of available facilities, equipment, and resources, thereby contributing to reducing financial and human waste and maximizing the developmental impact to serve the elderly in the local community.

The Medical City of Qassim University signed a joint cooperation agreement with the “Your Heart is Our Life” society, in the presence of the Executive Director General of the Medical City, Dr. Khalid Fahad Al-Husaiss, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the society, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Musned.
This agreement comes as part of strengthening the partnership between the government health sector and the non-profit sector, with the aim of unifying efforts to serve patients and the community, and enhancing the efficiency of healthcare provision through cooperation in medical, awareness, and development fields.
This collaboration reflects the commitment of both parties to contribute to achieving the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program by improving the quality of health services, optimizing the utilization of available resources, and strengthening community participation.

The Diabetes Association signed a community partnership agreement with Qassim University Medical City. Qassim With the aim of contributing to raising the level of healthcare for patients and the community. The association was represented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Abdullah bin Khalaf Al-Mutairi, and the Medical City was represented by the Director General and Executive Director, Dr. Khaled bin Fahd Al-Hossais. The agreement was signed on 10 September 2025.
Research chairs and Al-Qassim Health Cluster collaborate on AI for better health services
On 19 October 2025 Qassim University’s research chairs signed a one-year MoU with Al-Qassim Health Cluster to support and carry out joint research projects on artificial intelligence and its applications in improving the quality of health services and the operational efficiency of the health sector. Under the MoU, the Health Cluster provides the clinical expertise of its health practitioners to work with the University’s data experts in training and developing AI algorithms, grants the ethical approvals needed to use patient data in research through its research ethics committee, and makes shareable data available in line with the Personal Data Protection Law and the regulations of the Saudi Data and AI Authority. The two parties will also support scientific publishing and the adoption of advanced technologies, involve students and faculty members in research and innovation, and develop the professional skills of health staff in using AI in medical care, with an executive plan and timeline for each joint project. The collaboration contributes to the digital transformation of the health sector and to raising public-health outcomes in the Kingdom.
Cooperation with the Saudi Dental Society on oral-health awareness and research
On 28 November 2025 the College of Dentistry signed a two-year cooperation agreement with the Saudi Dental Society. The agreement covers organising conferences, seminars and scientific meetings; cooperation in the main events organised by both parties and in scientific programmes; scientific competitions with prizes for the winners; the exchange of expertise and of scientific and awareness materials and publications; dental consultations; joint scientific research; and joint awareness campaigns and community service. Through this partnership with a national professional health body, the College works to improve oral health in the community through research, awareness and service.
Partnership with the “Friends of Patients” Association, Buraydah
On 15 January 2025 Qassim University Medical City signed a one-year medical cooperation agreement with the Friends of Patients Association in Buraydah. The agreement aims to raise the level of health care for patients and the community; to affirm the role of governmental, civil and non-profit institutions in serving patients in need and the local community and raising their awareness; to strengthen the culture of cooperation, citizenship and partnership between these institutions; to make the best use of the facilities, equipment and human, material and technical resources of both parties; to allow each party to benefit from the specialists of the other; and to unify efforts to provide the best health services and assistance to those in need in the local community, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program.
Partnership with “Sihhati” Health Association, Tal'at Al-Tamiyat
On 5 February 2025 Qassim University Medical City signed a one-year memorandum of cooperation with Sihhati Health Association in Tal’at Al-Tamiyat. The memorandum aims to raise the level of health care for patients and the community; to affirm the role of governmental, civil and non-profit institutions in serving patients in need and the local community and raising their awareness; to strengthen the culture of cooperation, citizenship and partnership between these institutions; to make the best use of the facilities, equipment and human, material and technical resources of both parties; to allow each party to benefit from the specialists of the other; and to unify efforts to provide the best health services and assistance to those in need in the local community, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program.
Signing of a training and employment agreement between Qassim University and Al-Qassim National Hospital at the launch ceremony of health projects
During the ceremony to launch health projects in the Al-Qassim region, sponsored by His Highness the Prince of the region and in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Health, the President of the University, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Muhaymid, signed a training and employment agreement with the CEO of Al-Qassim National Hospital, Dr. Sultan bin Fahd Al-Nahir. The agreement aims to provide practical training and internships for university students in various medical departments, within specialized training programs to acquire skills and qualify trainees for the job market. The agreement also aims to employ a number of graduates, contributing to meeting the needs of the health sector for qualified personnel. This partnership comes as part of the university’s commitment to providing integrated education, strengthening cooperation with health institutions, and contributing to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
