Outreach Programs for Health & Wellbeing
Qassim University delivers health outreach programmes in the local community through its Medical City and the Deanship of Student Affairs, covering healthy nutrition, oral hygiene, physical activity, heart and mental health, early detection of diseases and blood donation, and supports patients in need through partnerships with health charities in the region.
Coinciding with the Gulf Nutrition Week; an awareness on the importance of healthy nutrition.
Qassim University Medical City participated in an awareness corner in Buraydah during the Gulf Nutrition Week, to promote nutritional awareness during Ramadan, through scientific advice and brochures on balanced nutrition.
In conjunction with the Gulf Nutrition Week, Qassim University Medical City participated in an awareness corner on the importance of healthy nutrition during the holy month of Ramadan, in one of the picnic destinations in Buraydah.
The corner aims to promote nutritional awareness among visitors and encourage them to adopt healthy eating habits during the holy month of Ramadan. The corner also included providing scientifically based nutritional advice and distributing awareness brochures that highlight the importance of a balanced diet, which reflects positively on the health of the individual and society.

Qassim University Medical City activated the World Oral Health Day through an awareness corner in Buraydah during Ramadan, to raise awareness of the importance of oral hygiene and periodic examination, especially during fasting.
The Medical City of Qassim University, represented by the Dental Hospital, activated the World Oral Health Day through an awareness corner, which was held during the holy month of Ramadan in one of the picnic destinations in Buraidah, with the aim of promoting awareness of the importance of oral health care and encouraging community members to have regular examinations.
The awareness corner included a range of educational activities, including the distribution of brochures and awareness tips on the prevention of oral and dental diseases, and a simple explanation of the importance of oral hygiene, especially during fasting periods. This initiative comes as part of the Medical City’s efforts to activate World Health Days and promote a culture of prevention among all segments of society.

Qassim University Medical City, in cooperation with the College of Applied Medical Sciences, held an awareness event on the occasion of World Health Day in the lobby of the University Hospital, with the participation of faculty members and students of the college, in the presence of the Executive Director of the Medical City and a number of leaders and visitors.
The event included awareness corners that addressed various health topics, including nutrition, physical activity, heart health, mental health, and prevention of chronic diseases, with the aim of spreading health awareness and promoting a healthy lifestyle among community members.
Blood donation campaign at Qassim University Medical City witnessed widespread participation to support blood banks during the Hajj season.
Qassim University Medical City, in cooperation with the “My Blood” Association, organized a blood donation campaign with the participation of more than 100 donors, to support blood banks during the Hajj season 1446 AH, as part of its efforts to serve the community and promote the values of volunteering and solidarity.
The Medical City of Qassim University, in cooperation with the “My Blood” Association, organized a blood donation campaign that witnessed the participation of more than 100 donors from university employees and visitors to the university hospital, with the aim of supporting blood banks in the region and meeting the needs of hospitals during the Hajj season 1446 AH.
This campaign is part of a series of health and community initiatives implemented by the Medical City to enhance its role in serving the community and embody the values of solidarity and volunteerism, especially during seasons that require exceptional national health preparedness, such as the Hajj season.
Consultations and awareness brochures at the Medical City Health Corner to raise awareness of common cancers
Qassim University Medical City organized an awareness corner in cooperation with Prince Faisal Oncology Center in the hospital lobby to introduce prevention and early detection of skin, bladder and ovarian cancers.
Qassim University Medical City, in cooperation with Prince Faisal bin Bandar Oncology Center, organized a health awareness corner on the occasion of World Skin Cancer, Bladder Cancer and Ovarian Cancer Day, in the main lobby of the University Hospital, with the aim of raising community awareness of the importance of prevention and early detection of these types of cancer.
The corner included providing medical and awareness information to the public in a simple manner, addressing risk factors, means of prevention, and the importance of periodic examinations for early detection. Specialized awareness brochures were also distributed, in addition to providing direct consultations by oncology specialists, reflecting the Medical City’s keenness to promote health education and disease prevention.
Raising awareness of glaucoma: the Medical City holds an awareness corner on the occasion of World Glaucoma Week
The Medical City of Qassim University held an awareness corner on the occasion of World Glaucoma Week to introduce the symptoms of the disease, methods of prevention, the importance of early detection, and the latest diagnostic and treatment techniques.
On the occasion of World Glaucoma Week, Qassim University Medical City set up an awareness corner in the lobby of the Outpatient Clinic Building, with the aim of raising awareness among visitors about glaucoma and the importance of early detection to avoid its complications on eyesight.
The corner included introducing the symptoms of the disease and ways to prevent it, in addition to reviewing the latest medical technologies used in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, as part of the Medical City’s efforts to promote health education and spread community awareness about common diseases

Breast Cancer Awareness Month: the importance of early screening and the main risk factors
As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Qassim University published an awareness video for the community in which a University physician explains the importance of early screening for breast cancer and the main risk factors, encouraging women to have regular check-ups and detect the disease early.
