Local start-up financial assistance
Qassim University provides financial assistance to the local community to support the start-up of financially and socially sustainable businesses. This is demonstrated through the fourth Innovation Incubator of the Innovation and Intellectual Property Center, which offered financial grants for start-ups and prizes worth SAR 50,000 to entrepreneurs and University staff, in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Research, Development and Innovation Authority, the National Technology Development Program and the CODE Center of Digital Entrepreneurship.
Innovation Incubator 4
The incubator took projects from a hackathon to a training camp and an innovation exhibition. Its hackathon judged more than 100 projects on sustainability and economic feasibility, honoured 12 winners and selected 40 projects for the training camp, connecting promising projects with local investors.
