SDG17.2.4: Collaborate for SDG best practices
Qassim University prioritizes collaboration for SDG best practices through a systematic approach of reviewing comparative approaches at local, national, and international levels. Its Center for Sustainable Development (SDC) actively seeks international partnerships with other academic institutions and organizations, such as in Europe, to share knowledge and adopt cutting-edge global developments, particularly in fields like renewable energy technology. The university leverages these collaborative relationships to conduct joint research that helps develop new, effective solutions and to benchmark its performance against global standards, including participation in the UI Green Metric. By integrating these international best practices—such as those related to water management and campus sustainability programs—into its own operations and research, Qassim University ensures its efforts are nationally leading and globally informed, ultimately contributing to the effective implementation of the SDGs locally.
