University and Ministry of Commerce sign memorandum of cooperation in the fields of translation and training

The university, represented by the Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs, signed a memorandum of cooperation today, Wednesday, October 30, 2024, with the Ministry of Commerce, represented by the Undersecretariat for Joint Services. The purpose of this memorandum is to cooperate in establishing the Namaa Voluntary Team for translating the Ministry of Commerce's regulatory documents. This memorandum comes as part of the university's keenness to activate community partnership and strengthen joint cooperation with various entities.

The memorandum was signed by His Excellency the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fahd bin Suleiman Al-Ahmad, and His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce for Joint Services, Mr. Mazen bin Mohammed Al-Harthi, in the presence of His Excellency the Dean of the College of Languages and Humanities, Professor Dr. Ibrahim bin Suleiman Al-Lahem, and the Head of the English Language and Literature Department, Dr. Yaser bin Abdulrahman Al-Batti, at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh.

The memorandum aims to establish the Namaa Volunteer Team to translate Ministry of Commerce regulatory documents from Arabic to English. It also aims to provide opportunities for cooperative training for graduates of the English Language and Literature department, according to the Ministry of Commerce's capabilities. Additionally, it seeks to hold orientation sessions about the job market in accordance with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 for the university's graduating male and female students.
