His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharikh, met on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, with the heads of scientific departments to discuss the work of the academic year 1448 AH. The meeting was organized by the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs, in the presence of the university vice presidents, and was held at the King Abdulaziz Center for Conferences in the university city.
The university president emphasized the importance of benefiting from the outcomes of the intensive training program, «Academic Leadership and High-Efficiency Department Management.» He affirmed that investing in the development of academic leaders is a fundamental pillar for enhancing the quality of outcomes and achieving the university's future aspirations. He called for continued work and integration to achieve further accomplishments in the upcoming phase.
The university president emphasized during the meeting the importance of the role played by academic departments in developing the educational and research process and achieving the university's objectives. He affirmed that the academic accreditations and qualitative achievements realized were the result of collective work and integration between colleges and academic departments. He pointed to the importance of continuously developing academic programs in line with changing trends and meeting the needs of the labor market, in addition to supporting qualitative scientific research and fostering a culture of innovation and creativity.
His Excellency also praised the efforts of the department heads and the academic and professional support they provide to students, emphasizing the importance of monitoring performance indicators and academic achievement, encouraging students to participate in research and innovation activities, as well as empowering faculty members and benefiting from their expertise, identifying promising academic leaders and preparing the second tier of leaders to ensure the sustainability of institutional excellence.
The meeting aimed to discuss the obstacles and challenges facing the educational process, review the aspirations of academic departments and development opportunities, all of which contribute to enhancing the efficiency of academic performance, improving the quality of work, and achieving sustainable impact.
