His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharkh, signed two cooperation memorandums today, Wednesday, September 2, 2026, during the university's participation in the LEAP 2026 conference, with Amazon and ServiceNow. His Excellency the University President also witnessed the signing of two other cooperation memorandums between the university and TrendAI and Elm Company, in the presence of the Vice President for Business Development and Community Partnership, Dr. Majid bin Fadhi Al-Enezi, and the Dean of the Institute of Studies and Consulting Services, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Atiyah, at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center.
The memorandum of cooperation with Amazon Web Services (AWS), signed by Eng. Ahmed Boushnaq, General Manager in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aimed to cooperate in the fields of training, education, and digital capacity development. This is with the goal of advancing learning in the areas of digital transformation and cloud computing, enhancing capabilities to leverage AWS technologies and services, as well as exchanging knowledge expertise and utilizing professional services and specialized application programs, thereby enhancing the university's digital readiness and contributing to the building of qualified national competencies.
The memorandum of cooperation with ServiceNow, signed by Eng. Saif Mashat, Vice President of the company for the Middle East and Africa, also aims at strategic cooperation to support digital transformation at the university through consultative collaboration in deploying advanced enterprise solutions, raising operational efficiency, improving the quality and flexibility of provided services, enhancing technical innovation, transferring knowledge, and developing digital capabilities.
The university signed a memorandum of cooperation with TrendAI, which was signed by the Vice President for Business Development and Community Partnership, Dr. Majid bin Fadi Al-Anzi, and Engineer Wasna bin Qasim, General Manager of the company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to cooperate in the fields of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, human capacity development, and providing the university with digital solutions in accordance with the best modern technologies.
As the university also signed a memorandum of cooperation with Shor Global Technology Company, signed by Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Atiyah, Dean of the Institute of Studies and Consulting Services, alongside Engineer Mohammed bin Saud Al-Issa, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, with the aim of enhancing cooperation in fields of mutual interest, building human and professional capabilities in technical fields, implementing specialized training programs in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and cybersecurity, in addition to organizing joint events and competitions in innovation and technology, and preparing a joint annual plan including needs, a timeline, and key performance indicators.
