Qassim university has an engagement in off‑campus water conservation efforts including supporting water‑saving, reuse, awareness, and sustainable management initiatives beyond the university campus boundaries. Qassim Universy's strategic plan emphasises sustainability, community engagement and applied research. The university is committed to supporting SDG 6. By championing off‑campus water conservation, Qassim University reaffirm its role as a institution and a knowledge partner in Qassim region and KSA. Qassim University has a partnered with a number of key community partners, such as municipal water authority and water purfication companies in Qassim area each partnership has a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlining scope, roles, deliverables and timelines. In addition, Qassim University work on increase of community awareness a in water conservation and water use.
