His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharikh, chaired the meeting of the Permanent Committee for University Projects on Sunday, June 21, 2026. This took place during his visit to the new Colleges of Health Sciences project in the University City, which includes five buildings. Three of these buildings have been completed and are operational, while work continues on the College of Applied Medical Sciences building and the College of Nursing building.
During the meeting, His Excellency directed the prompt completion of the project to support the educational process and enhance the academic environment for students, emphasizing the university's keenness to continuously follow up on the implementation of its development projects to contribute to raising the quality of the educational process and achieving its strategic objectives.
The visit included following up on the implementation stages and operational requirements. His Excellency was accompanied by the Vice President for Financial and Technical Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Saqui, and members of the Standing Committee for University Projects. They reviewed the progress of work on the project, its surrounding support facilities, and parking lots. They also discussed the operational requirements and necessary equipment to ensure the project's readiness according to the approved timelines.
These buildings are one of the main components of the Health Colleges project at the university city, which includes five buildings, among them a suspension bridge connecting it to the adjacent administrative building, contributing to the integration of health colleges and enhancing the educational environment that supports academic and training aspects.
