The university has achieved a new academic milestone by including six specializations for the first time in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025, reflecting its commitment to developing its academic and research programs and strengthening its position among the world's top universities.
For the first time, the classification included social and administrative sciences disciplines at rank 297, engineering and technology at rank 333, pharmacy and pharmacology at rank 351, medical sciences and life sciences disciplines at rank 401, in addition to arts and humanities disciplines at rank 401, and natural sciences at rank 501. Meanwhile, three university disciplines maintained their presence for the second year: mathematics at rank 451, medicine at rank 551, and computer science and information systems at rank 651, which entered the classification in 2024.
The «QS» ranking relies on several evaluation criteria, including academic reputation, scholarly publications, research citations, international research partnerships, and graduate employability. This contributes to improving the quality of education, fostering research and innovation, expanding the scope of international academic collaboration, enhancing the university's global reputation, and increasing employment opportunities for its graduates.
This achievement is a new addition to Al-Qassim University's academic record, reflecting its commitment to developing its educational programs and enhancing its global presence.
