Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine
Description:
The Master's degree program in Veterinary Medicine is one of the oldest programs at the university. Studies began in the year 1422/1423 AH through two tracks: Laboratory Diagnosis and Clinical Sciences. The department has graduated a large number of specialists in these fields from within and outside the Kingdom. The department also developed the Master's program, which was approved and sanctioned by the university in the academic year 1435-1436 AH to include four programs: (Master of Science in Basic Veterinary Sciences – Master of Science in Laboratory Diagnosis – Master of Science in Preventive Medicine – Master of Science in Veterinary Clinical Sciences). Studies in these programs commenced in the academic year 1437-1438 AH. In light of the new developments in university education in the Kingdom and the new university system and its requirement to provide self-funding sources for universities, the Veterinary Medicine program saw fit to restructure its Master's programs to align with the university's requirements for the number of admitted students for the Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine. Based on a precise diagnosis of the current situation, the department developed the Master's program by restructuring it in the year 1444 AH, renaming it “Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine” and including four tracks.
