Mission
Providing accredited educational and professional programs, applied research, and veterinary consulting services in biomedical sciences to contribute to sustainable livestock development, within an environment that fosters governance, innovation, and partnership.
Overview
The Biomedical Sciences Department is one of the four departments at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Qassim University, established based on the decision of the Council of University Affairs No. (24/19/45) in 1445 AH, corresponding to 2024 AD. The department dedicates its efforts to providing high-quality education to undergraduate and master's students through faculty members with expertise in the fields of Anatomy, Embryology, Histology, Physiology, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Biochemistry, and Genetics, in accordance with the college's curriculum. The department also plays a pivotal and fundamental role in supporting the educational and research process and serving the community through advanced teaching methods and applied research using the latest laboratory technologies, while supporting innovation and partnership in the field of biomedical sciences at both local and international levels.
Objectives :
1. Provide educational programs in the field of biomedical sciences that contribute to the merit, competitiveness and professionalism of students.
2. Contribute to providing veterinary professionals capable of linking medical, applied and clinical sciences.
3. Stimulating and developing research activity in the fields of biomedical sciences to meet the requirements of sustainable development.
4. Group interaction between faculty, staff, and students.
5. Continuous improvement of teaching and learning efficiency.
6. Providing and sharing modern technologies in teaching and learning.
7. Contribute to strengthening partnerships and knowledge exchange, nationally and internationally.
