Qassim University, in partnership with the National Energy Services Company (Tareed), has launched a project to install solar panels at its campus facilities. The project's production capacity is expected to reach 5,137 kilowatts and achieve annual energy savings estimated at 8.6 million kilowatt-hours, significantly contributing to the reduction of Scope 2 emissions.

This certificate, bearing the number SA-EMS-00015, is a carbon neutrality certificate awarded to Qassim University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by the branch of TÜV AUSTRIA Shanghai Co. LTD on March 4, 2024. The certificate officially confirms that Qassim University has become a “carbon-neutral facility,” having successfully offset its carbon dioxide emissions through dedicated climate protection activities, highlighting its institutional commitment to environmental sustainability.
