His Excellency the President of Al-Qassim University, Professor Dr. Muhammad bin Fahd Al-Sharkh, received today, Monday 5 October 2026, the university’s certificate of recognition in recognition of its achievement of third place in the Central and Western Asia region, within the UI GreenMetric ranking of sustainable universities 2026, in the presence of the Vice President for Business Development and Community Partnership Dr. Majid bin Faji Al-Anazi.
This achievement adds to the university’s distinguished record in sustainability, following its ranking first among Saudi universities and achieving 39th place globally in the 2026 ranking, affirming its efforts in promoting sustainability practices and developing an academic environment supportive of sustainable environmental and institutional practices.
This distinction reflects the university’s commitment to applying the principles of sustainability in various academic, operational, and societal fields, thereby enhancing its presence in international rankings and aligning with the Kingdom’s objectives for sustainable development.
