His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, blessed the signing of an investment contract to establish a medical rehabilitation center and a therapeutic health resort. The contract was signed between Al-Qassim University and Naqawa Medical Care Company, during His Highness's reception of the University President, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharih, the CEO of Naqawa Medical Care Company, Dr. Rashed bin Mohammed Aba Al-Khail, and the Vice President for Business Development and Community Partnership, Dr. Majed bin Fidi Al-Enezi.

His Highness was briefed on the investment project's details, including the specialized rehabilitative and therapeutic services it encompasses, which contribute to supporting the healthcare system and enhancing the quality of services provided to beneficiaries, in addition to the project's role in creating new investment and development opportunities in the region.

His Royal Highness the Governor of Al-Qassim Region confirmed that the region possesses promising potential in the field of investment in medical care, thanks to the development of its infrastructure, the integration of services, and the availability of medical competencies, in addition to a stimulating investment environment. He pointed to the importance of attracting qualitative projects that contribute to raising the level of health services and meeting the needs of the community.

His Highness touched upon the therapeutic tourism potential of the Al-Qassim region, which includes natural sites and a moderate climate in a number of governorates, in addition to the availability of suitable locations for therapeutic spa resorts. He emphasized that this type of investment is an important RAHDA (source of sustenance/support) for economic development and contributes to diversifying the region's tourism products.

His Highness emphasized the importance of partnership between academic, investment, and health sectors to leverage scientific and medical expertise and support the region's endeavors in developing specialized health projects with a sustainable impact.

The project includes a medical rehabilitation center and a therapeutic spa, covering an area of 160,000 square meters. It comprises three medical fields: health rehabilitation, long-term care, and home care, and contains 24 departments with a capacity exceeding 200 beds.

The project aims to provide integrated health and therapeutic services, combining medical treatment, rehabilitation, and recreation according to the highest international standards, with a focus on improving quality of life and enhancing physical and psychological health. It also aspires to achieve national leadership in the field of medical health resorts, enhance training opportunities for students, and broaden horizons for knowledge exchange and health expertise. Additionally, it will implement joint studies and research with university faculties, as well as contribute to supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by developing the health tourism sector.

The project falls under qualitative knowledge investment contracts for buildings affiliated with Qassim University, strengthening its partnerships with the private sector in the fields of research, health services, and training.
