Qassim University launched the third and final training camp of the second phase of the fifth Innovate Incubator program on Sunday, July 26, 2026. More than 240 innovators participated in the 5-day event held at the main hall of the university city. This initiative is part of the journey to develop and qualify innovative projects, aiming to transform promising ideas into entrepreneurial and investment projects with economic and developmental impact.
The camp offers an intensive training program that combines specialized workshops, mentoring sessions, one-on-one consultations, and practical activities, supervised by a select group of experts and mentors in innovation and entrepreneurship. The goal is to develop business models, validate market needs, build initial products, and enhance project readiness for investment and growth.
This camp marks the final stop of the second phase of the program, following the implementation of two previous training camps. It focuses on completing the qualification of participating teams, refining their innovative projects, and increasing their readiness to move to the third phase (the judging phase), during which projects will compete to qualify for the final stage of the program.
The fifth edition of the Innovation Incubator is an extension of Qassim University's efforts to support the innovation ecosystem, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer, by providing an integrated environment that combines training, mentoring, and incubation, empowering innovators and entrepreneurs to develop innovative solutions that contribute to building a knowledge-based and innovation-driven economy, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
The program enjoys the participation of an elite group of experts, mentors, and arbitrators from academic, governmental, and private sector entities, which enhances the quality of the outcomes and gives participating teams the opportunity to benefit from national expertise in developing their projects and transforming them into promising investment opportunities.
The organization of this camp reaffirms Qassim University's commitment to its leading role in developing the innovation system, attracting national talents, and supporting innovators and entrepreneurs through qualitative programs that contribute to enhancing research, development, and innovation, and transforming research outputs and creative ideas into projects with sustainable economic and social impact.
The participating projects are scheduled to move to the arbitration stage after the conclusion of the camp, in preparation for selecting the best projects qualified to participate in the innovation exhibition, which represents the final stage of the program. It brings together innovators with investors and strategic partners to open new horizons for cooperation and investment in promising innovative projects.
