Today, Friday, April 24th, the finals of the Saudi Universities Sports Federation Futsal Championship concluded at Qassim University. The tournament, which lasted for four days, took place at the Olympic Complex in the university city. Several universities that qualified from the preliminary rounds participated in the competition for the championship title. The event was attended by the President of the Saudi Universities Sports Federation, Professor Dr. Khaled Al-Muzaini, and the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Ajlan.
The President of the Saudi Universities Sports Federation crowned King Abdulaziz University's team with the championship title, while Hail University's team came in second place, and Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University's team came in third place.
For his part, the Dean of Student Affairs at the university, Dr. Muhammad Al-Ajlan, affirmed that Al-Qassim University's hosting of this championship is an extension of its role in supporting student sports activities, and a strengthening of its partnership with the Saudi Universities Sports Federation to ensure the success of national events. He stressed the support and follow-up of His Excellency the University President, Professor Dr. Muhammad bin Fahd Al-Sharikh, for this championship, and the provision of all facilities to ensure its success and the availability of sports facilities and fields for the participating teams.
The university's hosting of the championship included a package of accompanying events for participants, most notably two recreational tournaments in archery and bowling, in addition to a number of training and development programs.
