Qassim University launched the “Innovation Summer 2026" program today, Monday, July 27, 2026. The program is organized by the Innovation and Intellectual Property Center in cooperation with the Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Chair for Artificial Intelligence and the Emerging Technologies Chair. It will run for three weeks at the main campus in the university city, with broad participation exceeding 500 applicants from university students, recent graduates, and individuals interested in technology and innovation. This initiative reflects the university's growing interest in developing future skills and building national capabilities in innovation and modern technologies.
The program is considered one of the distinctive initiatives implemented by the center in partnership with the AI Chair and the Emerging Technologies Chair, with the aim of enabling participants to acquire practical skills in innovation, entrepreneurship, and future technologies, and enhancing their readiness to contribute to the knowledge economy.
The program offers an integrated training experience across six specialized tracks, including: entrepreneurship, AI agents, AI programming (Vibe Coding), e-learning, emerging technologies, and digital manufacturing and modeling. This is achieved through training content that combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications, overseen by a group of elite specialists and experts.
The significant turnout for the program confirms the growing interest of Saudi youth in developing future skills and benefiting from qualitative initiatives that enhance their innovative capabilities and keep pace with the rapid changes in the labor market and modern technologies.
The program's launch is an extension of Qassim University's efforts to enhance the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, with the support and attention of His Excellency the University President, and his keenness to provide a stimulating environment for creativity, and to offer quality programs that contribute to preparing national competencies, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing human capital, and supporting the knowledge- and innovation-based economy.
