The university, as part of its ongoing partnership with the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, administered the «Hamza» test, designed to measure the linguistic competencies of international non-native Arabic speaking students. This was for fourth-level students expected to graduate from the Department of Teaching Arabic for Non-Native Speakers.
The test aims to measure Arabic language proficiency for academic purposes by assessing the four language skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking, among non-native Arabic speaking students.
The implementation of the test comes as an extension of the orientations aimed at strengthening the position of the Arabic language and its scientific status locally, regionally, and globally, in addition to supporting the construction of an accredited global scale for the linguistic competencies of non-native Arabic learners.
The test also contributes by providing scientific indicators and data to universities and Arabic language learning institutes, which helps in determining students' language proficiency levels and developing educational programs according to learner needs and adopted measurement standards.
