افتتح سعادة رئيس جامعة القصيم الأستاذ الدكتور محمد بن فهد الشارخ، معرض «بصمة إنجاز.. علوم تصنع المستقبل»، الذي تقيمه كلية العلوم، بهدف إبراز إنجازات الطلبة وابتكاراتهم، وتعزيز التواصل مع جهات التوظيف، بحضور وكلاء الجامعة بالبهو الرئيس بالمدينة الجامعية.
During the opening, His Excellency the President of the University praised the innovations and patents featured in the exhibition, emphasizing the university's interest in and support for scientific research and its encouragement of university students and its faculty researchers and staff to engage in research production across various disciplines.
During his tour of the exhibition, the university president emphasized that scientific research receives the support and patronage of the wise leadership – may God protect them – out of belief in its ability to achieve development goals through its innovations and inventions that can be implemented in reality. He pointed out that the university has made significant progress in the past period in the number of published research papers and in strengthening partnerships with many entities to support researchers and transform their innovations into economically beneficial products.
For his part, Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Sultan Al-Otaibi, explained that the exhibition includes 51 booths, with the participation of faculty members and college students, showcasing a number of patents that reflect qualitative outputs of scientific and applied value, in addition to a booth showcasing the college's efforts in promoting extracurricular activities and community service, alongside various innovative works representing ideas and projects developed to provide creative solutions in different fields. It also features a number of supporting incubators that contribute to empowering these innovations and transforming them into applicable products or initiatives, in a clear embodiment of the college's role in building a promising generation of innovators, and enhancing its outputs in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Al-Obeidi added that the graduation projects section included a number of distinguished projects by undergraduate students from the College of Science, and a group of applied research in the specializations of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and statistics. These projects address real-world issues in the fields of health, environment, energy, technology, and data analysis through scientific models, laboratory experiments, and modern applications aimed at providing innovative solutions that support sustainable development and contribute to serving the community.
كما يحتوي جناح الدراسات العليا على عشرة بوسترات للطلبة من أقسام الكلية المختلفة وهي نماذج من الأبحاث التطبيقية المرتبطة بالأولويات البحثية للجامعة والمجتمع والبيئة والتنمية المستدامة، حيث يتم عرض أبحاث تم نشرها في أهم المجلات العلمية المصنفة Q1 و Q2 وتتضمن هذه البوسترات أبحاث عن تكنولوجيا النانو والتكنولوجيا الخضراء وتطبيقاتها في معالجة المياه والوقاية من الإشعاع، وأبحاث عن النباتات البرية والاستفادة منها في العمليات الطبية والحيوية والدوائية وتحسين جودة الحياة، بالإضافة إلى تطبيقات النمذجة الرياضية في الصحة المجتمعية.
