On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharekh, sponsored the "Ambassadors of Vision: Scholars to Build the Future" and opened the accompanying exhibition, organized by the University's College of Business and Economics, with the participation of 12 speakers and a number of experts, specialists and entities from inside and outside the Kingdom, with the aim of discussing qualitative developments in scholarship programs, reviewing initiatives that support the qualification of scholars, as well as discussing challenges and qualitative opportunities in scholarship programs, in the presence of His Excellency the university vice presidents, at the conference center at the University City, in the presence of His Excellency the university vice presidents.
During his patronage of the forum, His Excellency the President was briefed on the exhibition accompanying the forum, which witnessed the participation of 10 entities from inside and outside the Kingdom to review future educational paths and provide support services for scholarship programs and procedures.
In the first and second sessions, speakers discussed a number of topics, including the values of conscious citizenship, the implications of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 on university education, ways to improve the scholarship experience, enhancing awareness of the rights and duties of scholars, and mechanisms to qualify and empower them to achieve national development.
In the third and fourth sessions, participants addressed the challenges and opportunities for admission to top international universities, the impact of scholarship on postgraduate programs in the Kingdom, the journey of Saudi universities in global rankings and their impact, and concluded with the presentation of inspiring experiences "Stories to Tell" by former scholarship holders.
For his part, Dr. Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Fahid, Dean of the College of Business and Economics and Chairman of the Forum's Organizing Committee, spoke about the importance of scholarship, which was and still is one of the vital paths to create the future, a bridge for civilized communication between the country and the world, and a journey to transfer and acquire knowledge, pointing out that the Kingdom's Vision 2030 made investing in people and empowering national competencies a key axis in building a sustainable future that enhances the Kingdom's competitiveness globally.
Al-Fahid explained that the idea of holding this forum stems from the university's pivotal role and mission, under the guidance and follow-up of His Excellency the President of the University, to highlight qualitative developments in scholarship programs and review initiatives that support the qualification of scholars, pointing out that the preparation of the forum continued over two months of planning and teamwork, in which the efforts of multiple teams joined forces.
Al-Fahid pointed out that the accompanying exhibition includes participants from international and local academic admissions offices that provide distinguished services to build future educational paths, expressing his aspirations through this forum to achieve a number of qualitative outputs that contribute to supporting the transformation towards a knowledge economy, developing human capital, promoting research and innovation, consolidating national identity and values, and improving the scholarship experience, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
