UQU signs MoU with Family Affairs Council to enhance cooperation in family and community affairs

Qassim University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Council for Family Affairs on Monday, May 12, 2025, to enhance cooperation in implementing the council's outcomes and the initiatives of the National Family Strategy. This partnership will leverage the university's knowledge as a community stakeholder. The memorandum was signed by His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharikh, and Her Excellency the Secretary-General of the Council for Family Affairs, Dr. Maimunah bint Khalil Al-Khalil, at the main headquarters in the university city.


The memorandum aims to activate the university's role as a hub for community initiatives that contribute to achieving a tangible impact on families and society. It also aims to enable the Council to reach all families and their members for their empowerment intellectually, economically, and socially through educational and training programs and awareness campaigns. Additionally, it seeks to motivate volunteer work in community initiatives to serve families and their members through joint initiatives and enhance integration between educational institutions and the Council in improving educational outcomes related to family sciences and relevant specializations. Furthermore, it aims to cooperate in preparing joint studies and research on priority topics concerning family affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
