His Excellency, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, visited today the Digital Entrepreneurship Center “CODE” affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology at Qassim University. He was received by His Excellency, the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharikh.
During the visit, His Excellency reviewed the outcomes of the “Ibtekar” incubator in its fourth and fifth editions, alongside a number of entrepreneurial and innovative projects in the workspace allocated for student startups.
His Excellency also held a meeting with a number of entrepreneurs and enablers in the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Qassim region, in the presence of more than 50 entrepreneurs and enablers at the Code Lab Theater. During the meeting, the enablers for the growth of digital startups were reviewed, as well as the role of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in stimulating technological innovation and opening broader horizons for the development of promising digital solutions.
The visit comes as part of supporting integration between the academic sector and the communications and technology system, empowering national competencies, and strengthening the supportive environment for startups and innovative projects, contributing to the development of national capabilities and supporting the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in building a knowledge- and innovation-based digital economy.
