Nearly 14,000 high school graduates admitted to university faculties

Qassim University announced the acceptance of approximately 14,000 male and female students graduating from high school for the new academic year 1439/1440 AH, to study for a bachelor's degree and a preparatory diploma in the university's 38 colleges located in various governorates of the region. Male and female students can check their admission results via the university's website and the Deanship of Admission and Registration website.

Dr. Fahad Al-Ahmed, Dean of Admissions and Registration at the university, stated that male students were admitted based on weighted averages for scientific disciplines, which consist of the aptitude test, the achievement test, and the high school average, or the equivalent percentage, which consists of the aptitude test and the high school average. Female students were admitted based on the weighted average only.

Al-Ahmad affirmed that the university always strives for justice, credibility, transparency, and clarity in all its operations. Students have the right to appeal their rejection from a specialization if they find that a student with a lower percentage was accepted into the same specialization, taking into account the order of preferences and the source of the secondary certificate for female students.

Al-Ahmad added that for female students, there are “general disciplines” that all female students are eligible to apply for, regardless of their governorate, while there are disciplines limited to students of the governorate due to the repetition of the department in several governorates at the university campuses. He clarified that female students were accepted into more than 65 disciplines, while male students were accepted into approximately 45 disciplines, praying to God Almighty for this to benefit the nation.
