The university's specializations appeared in 8 fields under the Times subject rankings, achieving advanced positions: Engineering specializations ranked 251 globally, Computer Science specializations ranked 301 globally, Medicine and Health ranked 401, Life Sciences ranked 401 globally, Physical Sciences ranked 501 globally, Education ranked 301, Social Sciences ranked 501, and Business and Economics ranked 401.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings assessment is based on 5 main criteria, starting with the teaching environment by evaluating the reality of teaching in the university in general and in the academic specialization in particular, using several sub-indicators including its academic reputation, the ratio of faculty members, the ratio of postgraduate students, undergraduate students, and institutional income.
The classification is also based on the university's research environment criterion, through indicators such as the number of research papers, research reputation, and income generated from research activities. In addition, there is a criterion for measuring the quality of scientific research, with indicators including citation rates and the strength and excellence of the university's or specialization's research output. Furthermore, there is the international outlook criterion for universities, with indicators such as international research partnerships, and the number of international students and faculty in the same specialization. Fifthly, there is the excellence in innovation and income criterion.
