The university is holding the second training camp for the Innovation 5 incubator at the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy.

Qassim University, represented by the Innovation and Intellectual Property Center, held the second training camp for the "Innovation Incubator 5" program, in cooperation with the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy. The camp took place at the city's headquarters in Riyadh from July 12th to 16th, 2026, as part of the strategic partnership between the two parties in the fifth edition of the incubator.

The camp targets 70 participants from teams qualified for the second stage. It includes an intensive five-day training program focused on project development through practical training, specialized mentoring, consultation sessions, and applied workshops, contributing to the development of business models more ready for the incubator's later stages.

This camp is part of the second phase of the fifth edition of the Innovation Incubator Program, which is implemented through four integrated phases: hackathon, training camps, judging, and the innovation exhibition. It aims to empower participants to develop their ideas and transform them into prototypes and entrepreneurial projects, thereby strengthening the research, development, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystem, and contributing to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The innovation incubator is one of the distinguished initiatives implemented by Qassim University with the aim of empowering innovators and entrepreneurs from various regions of the Kingdom, and accelerating the transformation of innovative ideas into scalable and investable projects, through an integrated ecosystem that combines training, mentoring, incubation, and partnership building.

For its part, King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy, as a strategic partner of the incubator, contributes to hosting the camp and providing a select group of specialized mentors and experts to support the participating teams, thereby enhancing their project readiness and increasing their opportunities for development and transformation into promising projects with economic and developmental impact.

The program also enjoys the support and integration of efforts from a number of success partners from government entities and the sector supporting innovation and entrepreneurship. These partners contribute by providing expertise, guidance, and empowerment, and by creating a suitable environment for developing innovative projects. This enhances the program's national impact and achieves its objectives in building a generation of innovators and entrepreneurs capable of contributing to sustainable economic development.
