A number of men dressed in Saudi Arabian ghutra or shemagh, aqal and bisht, along with a woman in a niqab, call into an internal hall at Qassim University. A large digital screen is set up in the space, and Saudi Arabia's flags and flag symbols are prominently and proudly displayed under a raised dome out of respect and national pride.
In an official scene in Qassim, a billboard stands in the middle of an area landscaped with four plants and palm trees, displaying the flag of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with Arabic phrases under the flag's day. Standing next to the billboard are a number of eight men dressed in the elegantly embroidered Saudi bisht, wearing on their heads the shemagh or ghutra and aqal in an image that epitomizes national authenticity. Complemented by the presence of the recognized black and white stripes.
A modern pavilion specially prepared for exhibitions at Qassim University features paintings of Saudi symbols, green Saudi Arabian flags, and plaques highlighting the significance of Flag Day. Within an area delineated by red velvet barriers, visitors walk around wearing the Saudi Shemagh or Saudi Ghutrah, with the Saudi Eqal and Bisht organized; the work is designed to express pride in national identity.

His Excellency the Acting President of the University, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Saawi, inaugurated a Science Day exhibition on Monday, March 11, 2024. The exhibition aims to embody the status of the national flag and explain its meanings and symbols. The inauguration was attended by His Excellency the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fahad Al-Ahmad, His Excellency the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Mohammed Al-Sharikh, and university staff and students, in the main foyer of the university city.

 

The university exhibition included a review of the story of the flag since the establishment of the First Saudi State, its developments and stages, its symbols and significance, and its history with national glories and achievements over three centuries. The flag contributed to shaping the state's identity and became part of the national fabric, drawing its great meanings of growth, prosperity, generosity, solidarity, and national cohesion from the historical depth and civilizational heritage of the Kingdom. 

 

The university was adorned with flags and identifying signs, through the university entrance, its roads, and its colleges, in celebration and pride of this national occasion.
