The university, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized Student's Day yesterday, Tuesday, under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, and with the attendance of His Excellency the Vice President, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Saoui, His Excellency the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fahad bin Suleiman Al-Ahmad, His Excellency the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharikh, members of the University Council and its affiliates, and male and female students, at the University City Conference Center.
The ceremony began with the royal anthem, followed by verses from the Holy Quran, then a speech by the students, and a visual presentation of the students' achievements, quantified by the university over the past period.
His Excellency the President of the University emphasized in his speech that the achievements the university has made were by the grace of Almighty God, then by the unlimited support the university receives from our wise leadership (may God protect them), His Highness the Emir of the Qassim region, and His Highness the Deputy Emir (may God protect them), and through the efforts of colleagues at the university. He pointed out that the male and female students are the beating heart of the university, sparing no effort in raising the university's name in all forums, both inside and outside the Kingdom. He indicated that the university is taking distinguished steps and rising day by day to the highest levels, as it has excelled in a number of academic, research, and social fields.
At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency the President of the University honored outstanding male and female students in various fields, which included: student programs and activities, student housing, student training and development, the skills record, sports activity, central guidance and counseling programs, tour services, in addition to volunteer programs, the activities of the Talent and Innovation Unit, and the Sixth Summer Club. His Excellency also honored students who achieved medals and student awards.
