The university is holding a panel discussion for new students

Qassim University held a dialogue session for new students for the 1448–1449 AH academic year at the King Abdulaziz Convention Center theater. The session aimed to introduce students to academic regulations and bylaws, university life, and key educational and student services, as well as to listen to and answer their inquiries and suggestions.

During the session, the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Fahd bin Suleiman Al-Ahmed, explained that the university stage differs from general education, as the student bears responsibility for their academic journey, knowing the regulations, rules, and requirements of the college to which they belong. He emphasized the importance of seriousness in studying, understanding university rights and duties, and avoiding distractions, which contributes to successfully passing the university stage.

Al-Ahmad pointed out the importance of building a high cumulative GPA starting from the first semester in the semester-based system, or the first year in the annual system, due to its impact in helping the student maintain their excellence throughout the rest of the study years, emphasizing the importance of the student being up to the responsibility and trust placed in them during their university journey.

The session was attended by the Dean of Admission and Registration, Prof. Adil bin Abdullah Al-Saawi, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Ajlan, and the CEO of the Applied College, Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Urini. Their contributions addressed a number of topics related to academic regulations, university and student services, and the development of students' skills to prepare them for the job market.

The session witnessed an open discussion with new students, which included answering their inquiries and discussing their proposals on a number of topics related to their academic career and university life, contributing to preparing them for a successful university start.
