A group of men in their Saudi uniforms, wearing the Ghutrah or Shemagh with Eqal, and wearing Saudi pashmina, lined up to cut the ribbon to mark the opening of an important awareness-raising event. The coordinators held the scissors as they stood with their official presence, in an outdoor square with the Zahraa Jamil coordination in the middle and the university buildings next to it, embodying the grandeur of Qassim University in organizing such meaningful events.
Maintaining the interior of the exhibition required with banners, displays, and carefully organized tables. Dressed in the Ghutra or Shemaghogal, as well as the Saudi Bisht, they exchange conversations about the Wai2 exhibition, which highlights the efforts to combat the coronavirus. A red carpet and ornamental plants decorate the space, while a large picture of a prominent man sits in the center of one family, giving the appearance of an official with the prestige of Qassim University.

His Excellency Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, opened today, Monday, corresponding to 18/10/1444 AH, the «Waai 2» exhibition for drug awareness. The exhibition, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs, will last for 3 days. The opening was attended by His Excellency the Vice President, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Sawe, His Excellency the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharaikh, His Excellency the Vice President for Planning, Development, and Quality, Professor Dr. Khalid bin Bani Al-Harbi, and a number of deans of colleges and deanships, in the main foyer of the university city.

 

 

His Excellency the University President toured the pavilions participating in the exhibition, which aims to educate students and visitors about the dangers and harms of drugs, their negative impact, and methods of treatment, while raising their awareness on how to prevent them and avoid falling prey to their dangers.

 

The exhibition features the participation of several entities: the Preventive Security Division for Mind-Altering Influences at the Ministry of the National Guard in Qassim, the Qassim Health Cluster, the Saudi Charity Association for the Prevention of Poisoning, and Irada Mental Health Hospital, in addition to the participation of several entities within the university: the University Medical City, the College of Pharmacy at the main campus, the College of Pharmacy in Unaizah, the Irshidi Program, the Guidance and Counseling Department at the Deanship of Student Affairs, and the Student Health Volunteer Club.

 

The "Wa'i 2" drug awareness campaign paths also included student exhibitions, awareness campaigns, a number of workshops, in addition to various volunteer initiatives.
