His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharikh, sponsored the 15th Research Day Forum today, Sunday, May 10, 2026. The forum, organized by the College of Medicine, is titled «Artificial Intelligence and the Coming Revolution in Medical Research.» It took place at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center in the university city, in the presence of the university vice presidents and with the participation of researchers, faculty members, and students.
The forum includes a number of scientific and research activities and specialized lectures, in addition to presenting 86 research posters, within the framework of the university's efforts to enhance the scientific research system and keep pace with rapid transformations in modern technologies and their applications in the health sector, foremost among them artificial intelligence.
His Excellency the President of the University affirmed that Qassim University places great importance on scientific research as one of the fundamental pillars of academic and cognitive development, noting that the organization of this forum reflects the university's direction towards supporting innovation and quality medical research, and enabling researchers and students to explore the promising opportunities offered by artificial intelligence technologies in developing healthcare and enhancing the outcomes of scientific research.
For his part, Professor Dr. Humaidan bin Turki Al-Humaidan, Dean of the College of Medicine, explained that this forum aims to provide a scientific platform for presenting the research and achievements of students, trainees, and faculty members, fostering interest in scientific research, expanding the horizons of medical knowledge, in addition to supporting collaboration and communication among various health specialties, and offering specialized lectures and workshops on artificial intelligence and its applications in the medical field.
Al-Humaidan thanked His Excellency the President of the University for sponsoring this forum and for his support of the college's activities and events. He also thanked the organizing teams of the forum and the participants from students, researchers, faculty members, and college staff, asking God Almighty to grant everyone success in what He loves and is pleased with.
