The Education and Training Evaluation Commission signs the framework agreement for the university's program accreditation

His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Academic and Professional Accreditation and Evaluation, Dr. Khaled bin Abdullah Al-Sabti, and His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, signed today, Wednesday, 2 Rabi' al-Awwal 1444 AH, corresponding to September 28, 2022 AD, at the university city headquarters, the framework agreement for programmatic accreditations for the university to accredit 92 programs at the university within two years to include all unaccredited university programs.

 

 

On the sidelines of the framework agreement, contracts were signed for the implementation of evaluation studies for the accreditation of (11) academic programs, which included: Bachelor of English Language and Translation, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Finance, Bachelor of Health Informatics, Master of Education in Special Education, Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Finance, Doctor of Philosophy in Literary Studies, Doctor of Philosophy in Linguistic Studies, in addition to the renewal of accreditation for both Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of Dental Surgery.

 

The memoranda of academic assessment cooperation agreements were signed on behalf of the Authority by His Excellency the Executive Director of the National Center for Academic Assessment and Accreditation, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Bashamakh, and on behalf of the university by His Excellency the Vice President of the University for Planning, Development, and Quality, Professor Dr. Khalid bin Bani Al-Harbi.

 

Qassim University is one of the universities that has received full institutional accreditation for the second time from the "Accreditation" center, affiliated with the Education and Training Evaluation Commission. The university also has (33) programs accredited by the Commission and (15) internationally accredited academic programs.

 

On another note, the Authority, represented by the National Center for Assessment (Qiyas), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the university today for cooperation in the fields of data exchange, technical support, and the application of academic and skill-based standardized and benchmark tests to meet the university's needs. The memorandum was signed on behalf of the Authority by His Excellency the Executive Director of the National Center for Assessment, Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Qat'i, and on behalf of the university by His Excellency the Dean of the Deanship of Development and Quality, Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Juhani.

 

This memorandum aims to foster cooperation between the "Qiyas" center and the university in administering educational outcome tests, academic acceleration tests, cognitive ability tests, and graduate skills assessments. It also includes providing technical support for aligning test content with program content, and delivering detailed reports on test results at the aggregate and dimensional levels. Furthermore, the memorandum outlines a trajectory for student and graduate performance over the years and participation in research related to student and graduate performance on tests administered by the National Center for Measurement.

 

The Authority operates in accordance with its mission and objectives, in cooperation and integration with the Ministry of Education and Saudi universities, to contribute to raising the quality and efficiency of education and training to the highest international standards, which contributes to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the objectives of the Human Capabilities Development Program, which include specific objectives for program accreditation for universities.

 

The signing was accompanied by a visit to the veterinary hospital, the medical city, and the driving school at the main headquarters in the university city. The visit was attended by His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, His Excellency the President of the University, his deputies, and a number of its staff.
