Qassim University holds a lecture titled «The pioneering role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in humanitarian and relief work internationally»
The King Saud University, represented by the Intellectual Awareness Unit, held a lecture in collaboration with the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action today, Tuesday, October 6, 2026, for students entitled: «The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Leadership in Humanitarian and Relief Work», at the main campus headquarters, where it was delivered by Dr. Samer Bin Abdullah Al-Jatiley, Advisor and Director of Resources and Investment and Spokesman of the Center.
Jalati pointed to the Kingdom’s efforts over the past four decades, which amounted to approximately $145 billion and reached 173 countries, and also reviewed the work of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, which reached 113 countries at a cost of nearly $8.5 billion.
Noting the generous support of His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may Allah preserve them –.
Al-Jalili spoke about the quality projects that distinguished Saudi Arabia in the fields of health, education, food security, protection, and other sectors, in addition to Saudi Arabia’s external volunteering and the distinguished projects and programs it has provided, including open-heart surgery, cochlear implant surgery, and specialized microsurgery, expressing his thanks to the wise leadership –may Allah preserve it– and the generous Saudi community that stands behind these pioneering achievements.
