With the aim of preserving the environment and combating desertification The University participates in the eighth phase of the "Qassim Green Earth" campaign

The university, represented by the General Administration of Maintenance and Services, continues its participation in the eighth phase of the "Green Qassim Land" campaign, which was launched today, Wednesday, corresponding to 28/3/1443 AH, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Qassim Region.

The General Administration of Maintenance and Services at the university aims, during this phase, to plant approximately 12,000 seedlings of various trees throughout the university city, under the direction and follow-up of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University. The university is keen to participate in this campaign every year and will continue to support it to ensure a healthy and clean environment within the university city.

On his part, the Acting Director General of the General Administration of Maintenance and Services, Eng. Majed bin Saleh Al-Harbi, affirmed that the university's participation in this campaign aims to preserve the environment and combat desertification. He pointed out that this national endeavor is our way to combat desertification, restore our vegetation cover, and increase the green space in the university city, as well as through expanding afforestation efforts and raising the proportion of green spaces within it. This is achieved by planting, distributing, and intensifying afforestation throughout all areas of the university's campuses.
