University signs cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Housing in Qassim to train students in the ministry's projects

The university, represented by the College of Engineering in Unaizah, held an agreement signing today, Wednesday, 25/3/1442 AH, at the main campus in the university city. The agreement is with the branch of the Ministry of Housing in the Qassim region, and was signed by the Dean of the College of Engineering in Unaizah, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Attiyah, and the Assistant Director General of the Ministry of Housing branch, Engineer Marzoug Ali Al-Harbi. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between the two parties in a number of fields to ensure the provision of more social and national services for the people of the region.

The university is the first educational institution in the region to sign a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Housing branch in Qassim, as part of the university's endeavor to enhance joint work between it and all entities. The signing was attended by the University Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Othaib, the University Vice President for Planning, Development, and Quality, Prof. Dr. Khalid Al-Harbi, Eng. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Murshid, Director General of the Ministry of Housing branch in Qassim, the Supervisor of the University's Southern Branch, Dr. Mohammed Al-Sharikh, and a number of faculty members from the college and staff from the Ministry of Housing branch in Qassim.

The agreement included several provisions in the field of college student training ("summer and cooperative training") under the supervision of branch staff in all Ministry of Housing projects as agreed upon by both parties, following coordination by the college with the relevant authorities regarding training. It also included cooperation in enhancing capabilities and skills, in addition to joint training and development programs such as courses, workshops, and seminars, as well as the exchange of technical consultations in common fields in accordance with the policies and regulations of both parties.

The agreement also aims to benefit from the expertise and human competencies of faculty members, and to facilitate the college's capabilities to organize relevant events, awareness programs, and guidance in accordance with the policies and regulations of both parties, as well as to benefit from the results of related research and studies, and from student graduation projects available at the college to serve the Qassim Housing branch. 

Through this agreement, the college seeks to increase cooperation with the Ministry of Housing branch in the region due to its specialization and expertise in the academic and training field. The branch, in turn, aims to contribute to raising the efficiency of its employees in the academic and training field, which will enhance the achievement of more successes that support the goals of the National Transformation Program 2020 and realize the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030.
