The University, represented by the College of Computing, achieved several advanced positions in the final list of the best ideas submitted in the Absher Challenge, which concluded last Saturday, 23/2/1442 A.H. The committee supervising the initiative announced the names of the winners on Sunday, sponsored by the Ministry of Interior with the participation of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, the National Information Center, and Alam Company. The participation of the college students came by submitting their ideas among 7921 ideas in the track of developing "existing services" through unified medical records and "new services" in adapting technology for the blind.
The student Noura bint Abdulaziz Al-Rubadi won fifth place in the Absher Challenge in the development of existing services track, with her project idea (Unified Medical Records - MedChain), out of 10 development ideas, while students Waroud bint Obaid Al-Rashidi and Reem bint Khalid Al-Rubadi won fifth place in the project idea (Adapting Technology for the Blind) from the final list of Absher Challenge in the development of new services track, which included 10 development ideas.
The Absher Challenge aims to encourage the owners of ideas and innovators to participate in developing the ministry's e-businesses and services through the Absher platform, by enriching the culture of creativity and innovation to reach advanced positions in the e-government index and in pursuit of achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
